Default Fill up problem

On my 04 Blazer I tried filling it up today and it wont take gas, the gauge shows a 1/4 tank yet you fill it up, then click, put more in then click, put more in then click, no way does it have enough gas but it clicks like it does. It's prety annoying, should I wait untill next tank and see if it still does it?

How long ago was your last fill up? My fuel gauge sending unit is bad, so sometimes when I fill up, the gauge still reads only 1/4 full, sometimes totally empty. It's been a couple years since I first got it, I'm too lazy to fix it, I just go by mileage.
I have a diagram of it that I can post up if you want, so you can see what part I'm talking about.
Hope that helps

it could be the gas pump. one time in my dads truck it kept clicking, i went to the next pump and everything was fine.

Yeah, you have to find a 'sweet spot' with some nozzles. Mine threw a few fits the other day at a fillup. You just have to pull the nozzle out a little, maybe twist to the side, or if that fails - just hold the lever at "half throttle", or however much it can take without tripping.

I know the big-tank late model (02+?) vehicles had problems with this, especially bad. (we're talking about the larger tanks like, 29gal+ I believe)

Thanks guys, I'll have to see what it does next time I fill it up. This was the first fill up, I just bought the truck Saturday.

My sensor went too. it would work then not work. I left it fine for a while then my fuel pump went, so i had the pump done and now the gague works fine. cost like 350 for a pump and the labor.
