f-bodys seats in a 1500 RC?
anybody tried this by any chance? i hate the non-supportive seats that don't "surround" the driver. however i don't have the money to buy aftermarket seats. theres a chance i could get my hands on some seats from a 97 f-body. just wondering if i would need to custom fab brackets or if they would just bolt in.

if you put f body seat in your truck you would be sitting on the floor unless your a tall guy my cousin has eclipse seats in his f-150 and i can't see over the dash so unless you can get them up higher i would reconsider

red, i was thinking of just unbolting the stock seat rails and putting some spacers of some sort in there to bring the height up. i am 6'3" though...
cash, thats why i'm thinking of going with f-body seats. they have those little plastic pieces next to the headrest that hold their belts

I mean the seatbelts are actually part of the seat in the truck. When you take the factory seats out, there will be no seatbelts at all. Are the fbods like this too? If they are then it sounds like a great idea. My seats now have leather but they feel flat on the back and don't support for performance driving.

I think the beastie boys said"let it go...let your self go......slow and LOW .....that is the tempo" I think it would be a cool idea and could be done if you could build some brackets to raise them up some how. You would get a good visual of your speedo.

i'll see, i'm fairly sure i can get my hands on some seats cheap. if i can't get them in the truck they'll always make great shop seats
