Default exhaust has to go need help

im recently cut my cats off on my truck and with my single in dual out flowmaster (40 series) muffler it is really raspy at about 2000-2300 rpms. which is right where the truck revs up to when i dive normal. it also does it when i get on it a little. I HATE IT!!! i want to upgrade up to a true dual setup with an x pipe and iwas thinking about magnaflow. i want something that isn't RASPY!!, loud when i get on it. and has a nice rumble at a normal take off. could some one help me out with a good mufler to use. thanks

Lance

nope sorry mine is raspy on my other truck 5.3 no cats x pipe 1 chambers. it sounds mean but it's really loud. I would look into an aerochamber or something like that.

Lt's, no cats, dual 3'' and 30series topten flowmasters. I have a set of dynomax bullet mufflers infront of the flows to quiet it down some, but the is no rasp at all.

I had the same problem, I'm still running 1 in 2 out. The local muffler shop recomended an accelerator muffler, flows good and sounds great, no more raspy ****. This is the 3rd muffler I've put on it and I really like the sound .

Hey Mine did the exact same thing and I had the Ultraflow bullet 3" on mine it cackled so bad at the same rpm it was unbarible. I switched to the SPINTECH SPORTSMAN STREET muffler and it is sweet! I went 3" in 2-1/2" dual out and it kicks *** I get alot of complements on how is sounds. There biult to last they use like 14ga steel

Here is their website

Hope that helps
