Default Electrocution of cats for scratching paint

Ok, now that i got everyones attention. I need to know how to keep cats off of my truck. Its still got the factory paint but its indigo blue and the side of the bed (and i mean this literally) looks like someone has drug a chain link fence across it. Its actually through the clear coat because the cat has done it in the same place so many times. You can actually see bare metal. I've tried sprays, sonic devices, paintball gun(which kept him away for about a month). Does anyone have any advice on what i can do. I have a korean friend who says that he can build me an alarm system that will deliver electric shock to things when they touch my truck. I will try just about anything because scratches really show up bad on the indigo blue. Please help.

Bryan

Bedrails keeps them from trying to walk along the bed of my truck at least.

I am not saying that I did this, but you can jolt them a little. Just take an extension cord that you dont need anymore and cut it. Strip the wires and hook them through a light socket. Just buy one of those cheap lights that are menat to be temporary. Then run the wires back out and attach alligator clips to them. Attach the alligator clips to a can of open tuna. Plug it in. You might wake up when you hear the cats touch it, but with the light bulb in there it will blow and cut off the current before it really hurts them. Can be really effective at keepig cats away.

I shot the cat next door with my paintball gun a few times and I haven't seen him in a while. The bastard threw up on my tonneau one time. It never scratched my truck as far as I can tell - it preferred to sit on the roof of one of my mom's cars.
