Default Efans off while moving?

I heard about someone saying running the fans all the time will cause them to fail permaturely and I don't doubt that but I was wondering on cold mornings between 35*&45* degrees is it ok to leave them off untill I come to a stop. I noticed they didn't affect my temp at all bringing it down, maybe a degree or two and the Tstat is next on my list and I think I wanna go with a 187* or 180* Tstat. What do you all think?

I have mine set to shut off over 35 mph I think. Hell if youre moving you really arent using the fans to pull air, you are using speed to get air through the radiator, so I figured the lett they are on the longer they should last. But it may not amake a difference either way, just a theory I have.

Do they actually shut off though? i have a nelson harness with 05 fans, mine is programmed to shut off at 50 mph, but if I have the a/c on Its obvious that they are not shutting off after 50mph when the compressor kicks on.

i am using a madenterprise.com a/c condensor temp sensor. i believe it is set at 170 or 180. when i get going at a steady cruise from 40 on up it will shut off the a/c signal after about two or three minutes.
