I'm looking for a 2wd 2500HD or 3500 with an 8.1 and the Allison trans. It looks like in '03 there as a 'facelift' update with digital climate control and probably some other features. What changed? Anything to look out for?

Also, from some Wikipedia research it looks like a 2500HD and a single wheel 3500 are damn near the same truck. 1 more leaf in the rear and 800 lbs higher GVWR, but same axles, brakes etc?

 

Well, I bought an '03 2500HD with an 8.1. Lets see how this works out....
