After a few weeks of running like this with 4 wheel disks I haven't found the need for one. Drums in the rear may be a different story.

With all the adjustable proportional valves in the market it shouldn't be a problem if felt one was needed.

Just to name a few. One less thing to go wrong on the truck. No problems related to bleeding brakes that you get when having the abs. Removes a little weight.

As a old schooler I like the feel without the ABS, peddle is way more responsive. Plans for going to manual brakes so one less thing when the time comes which hopefully is soon, have the material and parts just fab work to do.

Yes throws a ABS light. Either black tape it or remove the build is the fix.

LOL that ding dong thing was gone within the first week of me owning the truck.

Just need to pull the speaker out of the bcm.

Not sure if the ABS light would cause the ding dong to go off. Thinking it is usually activated when something triggers the info panel on the cluster.

Going to redue my brake lines this weekend in prep of manual brakes, will post pics next week. Did it that way first to show the easy way of removal.

It definitely makes the dinger go off. No lie, it goes on for 30 seconds strait when the ABS light is on. Every time the vehicle is started.

I'll have to go through that thread and fix my sisters Yukon.

Take care of your sister, that would drive anybody crazy. I have a desolderer so it was easy, a solder iron would do the trick. If have neither I would break it out.

Yup, just broke the abs bulb out of my cluster but mine is a 99.
Deleted abs, went to 05 fronts, SUV rears, braided lines, and hydroboost. Pedal feel is amazing and truck stops great. I'm with you, I hate abs!
