which is better, a dyno tune or a handheld tune?

When you say handheld tune are you referring to a programmer? If so then a dyno tune is the better option by far.

Dyno tune hands down. You can actually tweak the tune to optimize the way your individual truck runs, then see the results. You just can't do that with a handheld.
