look i have always liked the ford powerstroke. my grandfather has a 96 with almost 200,000 miles on it and still no problems with the motor at all. my mom has an 02 f250 with 70,000 miles and a chip seemed to help alot. my friend has a duramax and says it's nice but even stock the gas mil. sucks a$$. oh and you can't beat the sound of powerstroke.

I talked with a guy in a Powerstroke one day at a stoplight. He had to shut the freaking thing off it was so loud...clackity..clackity..clackity.
How bad is it in the cab?

How bad is it in the cab?Was it one of the 7.3L motors? If so, they are loud. Some dudes I used to work with had F250s and they weren't too bad in the cab.
The newer motors have that direct injection I think it's called. Also, they use a small shot of fuel to ignite the mixture before dumpin the rest of the fuel in the cylinder...that's why the DMax is so quiet and so's the 6.0 Ford.

thanks for the info.
