Default Drove a 2003 Duramax

A friend of mine brought over his 2003 EC,SB,4X4, Duramax/Allison for me to check out, he let me put my G-tech meter on it and the #'s are impressive but not as good as I thought they would be. We got the following 1/4 mile times - 17.3, 17.24, and a best of 17.05, the best one was achieved by power braking. I see most people say they show low 16's to high 15's in stock form, I guess that is why I was expecting better times.

I drove an '03 CCSB 4x4 towards the end of last year that had about 500 miles on it. I wasn't too impressed with it either, it wasn't fast but just pulled. I say let it break in more if the miles are low if not toss that Edge box in under the hood. That adds more fuel off boost and more on boost
