Sorry guys for posting another post on door handles, but can someone tell me an easy way to get them off? I painted some smooth ones to replace the textured ones and I was trying to change them yesterday but to no avail. I got the panel off no prob and I can get to the bottom nut easy. But how do I get to the other 2 nuts? Is there some step I'm missing? I read the other posts about taking them off, but I still couldn't get a handle (no pun intended) <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> on the problem.

 

Dude maybe I can help. For the first top nut, look on the side of the door about where the handle is. Pull out the round black plug and use a deep socket or regular socket with short extension to get that one. The other one (assuming the is driver's side) reach up with your right hand on the right side of the window track with a small 10mm box end wrench. Be careful the tracks are sharp. Make sure the window is all the way up too. You should be able to find that last one pretty easy. Hope you get it.

good luck! i cut my hands a couple of times and now also have a faulty passenger door handle!
and the window is not on track right i think. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
