door handle install?

Default door handle install?

got some painted door handles for christmas and have crank windows lol. cant get the panel around the window crank im thinking theres a special tool for this is there another way to get around that?

I believe theres a c clip retainer but Im not 100%

They make a tool , you can get it most parts stores for a couple bucks. It's a c-clip, If you can get to it you can also pop it out with a small screwdriver or pick but make sure your carefull with it, they can pop out and fly away and you'll be lucky to find it!

There is a special tool that's fairly cheap, but if you can't find it at AutoZone or whatever, a small screwdriver is one method (one prong of the clip at a time), or another method that I've used is to take a shop rag, fold it as tight as you can so that it will still fit behind the handle, then pull on it from both ends to pop the clip out. Be careful, the clip may go flying into the atmosphere, never to be seen again.

yeah i got it with a small screwdriver. thanks for the help. yeah i wish it would have had power windows i was in school and having problems with my wrx and parents picked the truck so o well. the handles look 10x better than the black ones.
