I have pulled trailers that weighed over 20,000 lbs with a 99 PSD and my current 03 Duramax HD.The Dmax didn't have any problems doing what the Ford that it replaced did.The only advantage I see the Ford having is a solid axle up front on the 4x4's.

I don't see a solid axle as and advantage unless you prefer a truck that rides like a tank.
