Worked out pretty well from the tips I got here. I flipped the fans upside down and improvised some brackets to hold the top down. The Nelson wiring harness was first rate with excellent instructions

The harness was $89 plus shipping, which is a raping to Hawaii. Got the fans for $100 shipped from Illinois to Hawaii. Altogether about $200. HP Tuners was not an issue cause I had a hook-up for that. I am in the process of moving this weekend, so pics will have to wait.

I'm not too familiar with the F body fans, so I'll have to ask why you flipped them upside down. Just for better access to the mounts? And is there any benefit to swapping in fbody fans rather than swapping in an 05+ system?

Withe the LS1 f-body fans, the mounting tabs are not wide enough to sit on the radiator tabs. So I flipped the unit upside down because there are tabs along the top of the plastic (on the fans) that sit nicely into the lower radiator support. Then I used two factory bolt holes and some scrap I had to secure the top. I will take some photos today.
The benefit to electric fans is you get to omit the huge fan shroud in front and the clutch fan that requires HP to turn. Makes the engine rev a little easier too.
