Default diablo sport tuner

Hey guys I was wondering if any of you had any experience with the Diablo sport tuner. I just ordered mine, but after I bought it I realized it was for 06 and up chevys. The model number is U7194. Thanks

yeah, you need a U7198 for your truck.... just contact the vendor you purchased from and swap it out for the correct one...

with the preset tunes on there, you'll gain about 15/20 hp/tq with it... have better driveability, better shifting, better/quicker response, and usually even a little better mileage as well. and as for getting a "real tune" - the preset tunes are created from actual stock vehicles on their dyno, they're not just some plain-jane tunes thrown on there...

you can do full datalogging with it, read/clear trouble codes, restore original stock tune anytime you want/need to... it has the most end-user adjustability of any handheld programmer... plus, you can also get custom tuning done for it and your truck to gain even more, by a diablosport CMR custom tuner (like myself)....

here's the information about the 7198 model predator you need:

http://diablosport.com/index.php?mod...display&pid=67

adjustability includes:

Timing Table 1000-1800rpm (+/- 20%)
Timing Table 2000-4000rpm (+/- 20%)
Timing Table 4000-7000rpm (+/- 20%)
Fuel Table 2000-4000rpm (+/- 20%)
Fuel Table 4000-7000rpm (+/- 20%)
Idle (+ 500rpm / -300rpm)
Speed Limiters (Trucks Only)
Rev Limiters
RPM Shift Points
MPH Up and Downshifts
Shift Timing
Shift Pressure
Cooling Fan ON and OFF temperatures
Re-Calibrate Speedometer for Gear and Tire Size Changes
Torque Management abuse mode time limit ON/OFF
% torque reduction vs. RPM ON/OFF
Upshift torque reduction (all gears) ON/OFF
Adjust for different injector size
Adjust COT enable temperature

Thats actually a decent handheld as far as what it lets u adjust. Ive never owned one or any handheld but i guess if u were dead set on a handheld that would be a good one

the preset tunes may be from dynod trucks, but we all know no two trucks are the same. I'm not saying that there's nothing to be had from a handheld. But you will get so much more out of your truck for about another $100 with a in person tune. Just my .02

Well you can get a "custom tune" like from that MonteSS guy with Diablo's CMR software.... I mean they finally got with the 90's and have full TCM support, lol. But by the time you have bought that and the handheld ( or Trinity) you could have bought HP tuners and just done it yourself. Or pony up a little more cash and get EFILive....... Plus have a real full blown scanner/ datalogger/ diagnostic tool. Not to mention there are enough similar trucks floating around either of the 2 tuning tools I mentioned forums or even here would get you a baseline tune..... That is probably better than the handhelds canned stuff. Whatever floats your boat.
