Yeah, that is a neat idea but, that belt right out like that is kinda scary. If a serpentine belt snaps no biggie, you just pull off the road when your idiot light comes on for the water temp. If the cam timing belt gets thrown the first indication is the sound of pistons smashing into valves that aren't where they're supposed to be.
