YES! Just thought of something. My friend who was riding with me has asthma.

So I could say he was having a severe attack and I freaked out. But, he talked to the cop....hmmmm....whatcha think?

Also, since I got the ticket in SC, but I currently stay in NC....should I get a lawyer in SC or NC? Anyone know any good lawyers in the Rock Hill, SC or Mooresville, NC area?

Thanks,
Josh Hucks

Or, I could make my speedo off 40 mph with the programmer, get a shop to calibrate it and say my speedo was off.

But, I said I had the cruise set at 95.

Will the cop remember anything about my stop?

Dude, Take it to court w/lawyer or not. Tell them that your truck shuts off at 98 and you have written document saying so. That cut alot of it out for him writting you up for more than what truck will do.

Do I really have paperwork saying it will only do 98?

So I should get a lawyer local to the area where I got the ticket, right?

Just making sure. Never had this big of a ticket before.

Thanks,
Josh Hucks

The speed limiter is set at 98 on the new GM trucks. Call GM, do a search, bring alot of paperwork with that info. Take them for a ride if they want. They have to prove you had a programmer or something in the pcm at the time to raise the speed limiter above 98....personally, I've never heard of anyone changing their speed limiter with a programmer.
