Damb just broke a front wheel stud...
How much of a pain is it to install new one. Truck is 2003 2wd.

lug studs are about 5 bucks. knock the old one out and pull the new one in with a lug nut as stated. easy as changing your brakes.

I went through a bunch of them on my old Sebring. Just like the others said, bang it out, stick the new one in. The lug pulls it tight in back. An air hammer may help out depending on how hard it is stuck in there.

well Ive done it in the back once before but havent even looked at what needs to be removed in the front. Truck still has 97,xxx miles so didnt want to replace the hub yet and when I do Ill replace both so it will be about $200. Thanks

That is just my .02 cents, I worked at a rim and tire shop for 2 years thats why I am saying that. Good luck. |

If you do it that way use a nut that is bigger then the stud and smaller then the lug nut. use that "space nut" to help set the stud all the way, you dont want to leave the stud sticking out behind the hub at all.

is the back one hard to do on a 06 w/ rear drums? I've got the same problem, infact I forgot about it when I was pulling my blown monte this weekend (uhhhhh...) but I figure 5 lugs is still good.
