have u gone down the road? the temps should drop drastically while driving, electric fans?

yes went down the road temp drop and went back up to 195

The thermostat just determines when the water is allowed into the engine and keeps it from getting cooler than that temp when driving
Taking it out just makes it take longer to warm up and allows it to get cooler while driving. However your truck has paramaters that make it run richer at cooler temps. So if your driving down the road at a temperature cool enough to trigger that feature your going to be running rich while driving until the temp gets above a certain mark.

Air isn't flowing through your radiator if your not moving.

my truck is my first new technology build, lol, removal of the tstat was no big deal in oldschool v8s, as he was saying, if you are running cold, wouldnt that trigger a mpg drop?
