Default Considering a Chevy

I am getting rid of this POS Dodge to get my wife something better for when our baby is born. I still want to have a truck so I am going to sell her Firebird and get myself something. I have found some RCSB's in my price range. How much does it take to get one of these trucks into the 14's, 13's? I'd really be happy with like a 14.0 if it's not way too much work. How bad are the 4L60e's?

I guess it cant be worse than my Dodge. My truck does not like the valve body and has not been right ever since. Even without that issue Im not sure that I will buy another Dodge again.

Thanks for the help,

Joey

Well, hopefully not too much! lol I'm hoping to get mine well into 14's, and eventually into the 13's- It just depends on which route you go- cam, stall, headers, good tune on a RCSB with a 5.3 would probably be close, if not into the 13's.

This just about sums it all up! Hope to be welcoming you to the light soon!
A little tune and some long tubes ought to get you there I would think. Then add a little nitrous for fun!
