Wasn't the 1SS option what defines the SS package and wouldn't that also be specific to the SS only????

Kind of. With a TBSS, you will have B4U, but it could be 1SS, 2SS, or 3SS depending on options for the truck. I believe the same goes for the later "ss" vehicle, but not sure.

Either way, it's a 2WD SS.......

You have the build sheet printed above. What code can't you find? The number 317 that is on the corner of the cylinder head? It's pretty easily visible just below the valve cover on the front corner on one head or the other.

I mean look at your rear diff. Is it a semi floater 14 bolt ( 14 bolts in the cover and it's an off kilter circular cover). Why doesn't it have the stickers..... Couldn't tell you. It's 7 years old and however many owners later.

See the big 5364 on the corner of the head in the photo. Yours will say 317 on it.

This is what you are looking for on the glove box door. But they are listed in the build sheet from bigred.

I went to the stealership and verified it was real. Just thought I would close this thread with positive leads.

FWIW the M32 was the 4L65E which GM considered the HD version of the 4L60E... Any one who has put power through them has proven otherwise.

RPO M70 was the 4L70E option.
