Default Concerned about my SS if its real or not.

I have read several posts about the glove compartment and stickers.

This truck is an 06 ss silver birch metallic.
vin 2GC-EC1-9N061-24-66-74

It has all the emblems, wheels, ss bumpers vortech max 6.0 engine.

But I ran a carfax on it and it just shows up as a c1500 not an SS

And the insurance company just registers it as a 1500 not an ss.

Not sure if I should be worried or not. Where else can I check to make sure it is real?

Not a big deal, the ss is not a performer in stock configuration anyways.

If it makes you feel better my avalanche is called a c1500 utility wagon on the title. Also you missed my point, the SS is not a numbered limited production vehicle like 203 of 250 built....there are thousands of em just like yours.

Lots of guys pull the stickers, emblems, and other trim off just for a cleaner look.
See if your engine has 317 heads, that will at least tell you its a 6.0

If it has 317 on the heads it has a 6.0 in it for the most part. It could be vho truck. Even at that price it was a decent deal if it were either. Find that number in the glove box..
