Less peddle effort but more rpm, there is a fine line and a 6.0 doesnt like to spin high when it comes to gas mileage. I get 14.5 right now with a stock 4wd, LQ4, and tune.

with the 26's and driving 70mph (1680rpm) with my ATV in the bed i got 12.9mpg on a 200 mile round trip... i got the same fuel mileage in town stop and go for 27 miles...

so i AM changing gears... and most likely going to the 4.10's for the simple fact that with my tire height of 33.2" along with the 4.10 gears it will be REALLY close to stock tires and 3.73's

also i just bought a Circle-D 278mm stall and looking for a cam.. i figure if it won;t get great mileage i might as well make it how i want it...LMOA

well i took the LT's and ORY off the truck.. and my mileage has already started going back up...
i thought that stuff was supposed to increase fuel economy (reading here on the forum)

i took it off because the truck was WAY to loud for my taste and it went from 16.8mpg@70 to 13.6mpg@70 with the LT's and ORY

i'm hoping the 4.10's help a little aswell.. if not i have 3.73's and if that don;t do any better i will put the 3.42's back in...lol

i will keep everyone posted on the gear swap

the LTs probably weren't getting hot enough to function properly.
