Default changing crank/rods/pistons with motor still in the truck?

Awkward question I know. But I have a 5.3 crank, rods, and pistons sitting in my apartment. Is it possible to change it all out with the motor still sitting in the truck? Would they need to be balanced or something?

Y would you want to do that? The heads will have to come off and oil pan. It would be alot easier to do it on a engine stand. Hardest part would be dropping the crank out the bottom.

Yeah. I already talked to some folks about it. While possible...not the best plan of attack for it.
This is the only vehicle I've got so it isn't exactly easy to let it sit for a week or so while I pull the engine, drop everything out, and put it all back in. I'm just going to have to find a cheap block in good condition or borrow one of my parents back up cars. (02 'burban or 03 Corolla....ick on both counts)

you cant do. you cant unbolt the flywheel from your crank. and the flywheel cannot come out unless the motor is pulled or trans is pulled
