Default Catalytic converter 4.8

Ok I need help. I had an engine misfire on my 03 silverado and I found out I have a clogged cat. I really dont want to spend the money to get a new cat. How would it run if I just straight piped in replace of the cat.

If you remove you cats and have the rear o2's shut off with a tune, would it still pass emissions testing since all they do is plug in to see if there are any codes?

Some states/counties have a visual/safety inspection. If you do not and they just plug in, it'll pass.

thanks guys im cutting them off tomorrow. I dont need to pass any emission tests so i will be ok with everything. Have any of you replaced your knock sensors before? Mine went bad so I need to replace them and was wondering how hard it is to do.

If you gut both they'll still be there for the visual. Also, this gives you a great excuse to get a tune.

if you pay for shipping ill send you both of mine. oh and the knock sensors are not hard to do. just make sure you get the fuel line disconnect tools. it makes it much easier to get the intake manifold off
