Ok..i Just put a Holley 650 4 barrel on my 86 Chevrolet K10...and...the idle is set WAY TO LOW!!! and im pretty sure i know where the Idle Adjust Screw is..but everytime i turn it in or back it out..the motor just Dies??? I got a Picture of what it looks like im adjusting the Red Spring..with the Nut on top...
Maybe im doing the wrong..thing My last carburateur whas an Edelbrock and it was about in the same spot..but it made the Idle Change not just killed it..

The red spring with the nut is the accelerator pump that just squirts gas into the mix. There is a screw that is in the linkage about mid way of the carb on the same side as the red spring that you can screw in and out and it moves the throttle linkage farward. that sets the idle. It is a flat head screw I believe.
