Default Car Trouble

Yesterday i got a call from my sister at 2 in the morning telling me her car shut off. Well to the point, her car starts fine but idles real bad and shuts off. Before shutting off the car bogs a little then it will shut off, i had to stall the car at lights in order to get it home. Any Ideas on what this might be?? Oh BTW, she drives a 01 Grand Prix GT. TIA

Could be a fuel pump, but I would guess a MAF sensor.

well i drove it home yesterday(about 1.5 miles) and at cruising speeds it was ok. Once i stopped at a light i had to stall it due it dying. but like i said, the rpms drop then it boggles and shuts off.

It could be many things, but the first thing that I would check is the MAP sensor. Unplug it and see if it gets worse, if it does not than that is a strong indication that it is a bad sensor. The same thing with the MAF. Those are just the quick ways to test them. If you could try to get a scan tool and see if you can pull of any codes. Could be the fuel also...filter might be plugged.
