03 Suburban hasn't been started in several months. It ran fine prior to being parked.
When I tried to start it, it cranked and ran for a few seconds. Repeated that several x and now it won't start at all.
Batt is hot, fuel 1/4 tank. 0 fuel pressure at test port.
Is it possible it lost it's prime? Would adding fuel help?
Pump magically quit while sitting?
Thanks in advance

Beat the tank with a hammer while cranking and see if the pump comes back alive.
If it does, then you know it's the pump thats died. And if nothing happens and you have power to the pump and a good connection with nothing happening, the pump is still going to be dead.
Not un-common for these fuel pumps to die.

I'm not sure how to explain this, but the fuel gauge has always been accurate in the suburban so I believe there was in fact 1/4 tank. I could hear the pump running and I just couldn't quit thinking the tank might be too low to really let the pump get ahold and pressured up. So. I added 5 gal just to see. I was very unsure that I was going to accomplish anything, but a few more tries later it busted off and ran normal.

My FlexFuel 04 Z71 Tahoe had a bad check valve in the fuel pump and woose lose prime after sitting for awhile. If you cycled the key and let it prime if would start normally. If you tried to just start it it would turn over a ton of times and would usually start on the second attempt. Replaced the fuel pump assembly with a new Delphi and had no problems since.
