Like the title says Can I tuck up the bumper to get rid of the gap between the grill and the bumper?

This is the gap I am talking about

 

I was gonna do this to mine just by cutting the tabs the bumper bolts to and then welding another piece in to raise it up and cut out a section on the bottom of the bracket to raise it also. Dont know if its the best way to do it but thats how i plan on doing it, just havnt got around to it yet.
