If you want good bottom end avoid a stall converter, I got a stall converter in my 2008 Silverado and love it but it definitely hurts bottom end, just last weekend I was in a parking garage and truck was doing almost 3000rpm just climbing up the levels of the parking garage. If you just care for bottom end just get a custom tune and gears.
