Default Left Day-Time Running Light Burning Out!

What is it with our trucks, or especially the 99-02's(i don't know if it is fixed on the new ones), that the left hand daytime running lights always burning out. I swear i've seen 10 trucks with them burnt out in just my little town. Pain in the *** to replace cause they cost 5 bucks.

LOL It's Chevy's signature for our truck and years...you know like the tail fins of 56 and 57 chevy's and fords.

but, when'if you replace them, dont touch the bulbs directly w/ your hand, wear some sort of gloves. also, some dilectric grease in the sockets helps out, so i've heard.

ive noticed this too... i remember saying it to someone else and they didnt think it was a trend, but it def. is. Mine did it with the stock ones, but ever since i replaced the stockers with amber day time runners they havent burnt out (now tomorrow my left one will burn out now that i've said it)

Mine are probably gonna do the same thing; I've never replaced mine and they've yet to burn out. Might be because I usually turn them off if its sunny out and they're not needed. I'm probably gonna go with some hyper whites if they do burn out. I think the bulb is a 4157, but all I usually see is the 3157's for the turn/brake lights. Where do you find the 4157's and can you get them in a hyper white?
