Default A/C Problem Please Help

Today on my way to work my ac stopped blowing cold air and immediatly started blowing extreamly hot air. I didn't touch anything it just did this on its own. I havent had time to do any trouble shooting yet because I'm at work for the night. As I got out of my truck it looked like the compressor and it was turning and the control module appeared to be working properly. Any ideas? Please help its just too dam hot to have a broke A/C.

did you happen to notice if the belt was still there? your low pressure switch might of went out, take it off the drier and put a jumper wire across it with the a/c on and see if it comes on, you might see if your low on freon(I dought) but never know.

I just went out to the parking lot to take a quick look. Started the truck, turned ac on and started blowing ice cold in about two min. Whats up with this?

You mentioned that the compressor was turning, but was the clutch engaged? If the refrigerant level is full, you may have an electrical problem such as a pressure switch or one of the in-dash actuators or AC module. From your description, sounds like it was working, then stopped, and now it's working again...if that's the case, it's probably an intermittent electrical problem.

Yes it looked like the compressor was turning. I will have to double check the next time it happens, if it happens again. I hope that its not an intermitten electrical problem.
