Default A/C Oil?

I was talking to an a/c shop today... i told them i was putting on my new a/c condenser.. they said to make sure i put 2 oz or whatever the specified amount is of "A/C Oil" in my condenser... is this the green stuff i see coming out of the one i bought (the one i bought is used).

if so... should i clean it out first.. im scared to put water in the condenser.. bc i dont have anything to dry it out with... in not savy on the whole a/c system.. i was going to take a/c off.. but i kinda want it for the summer.. i suffered through it last season, lol.

oh and they said an e-vac/recharge/refill will run me $150.. is tht high?

The green **** is dye. You shouldnt need to fill your condenser with oil. If your replacing your compressor then yes, you need to fill it. Most dont come filled. After you put the condenser on it is a dam good idea to replace the receiver/dryer. After that, make sure to pull a good long vacuum on your system. Thats gonna help big time in the long run. $150 isnt too bad. You might wanna check a few other places.
