A/C blower motor problems
Last week blower motor wasn't working after a short stop. Bench tested the motor and it was fine. Replaced the blower resistor and it worked for a week.
While driving yesturday it shut off. I went straight to the parts store and swapped it out in the parking lot. It ran with the new resistor. Unplugged it and directly plugged in the old resistor and it ran and worked fine this AM.
Anyone ran into a similar issue?

The new resistor had the 2 wire harness going from it to the blower motor. The old one looked ok though. There is about a 6 wire harness going into the resistor. It looked OK from what I remember. I'll look a little closer though. Which harness are ya'll saying needs to be replaced?

Ok, you guys were right. The 7 wire plug to the resistor melted. I feel like an idiot for overlooking it but not a common problem by any means. The black wire was pulled out of the plug a 1/4". Either bad connection caused the resistance or bad design. One thing I did differently that day was I ran it on high (5) the 30 min trip home. I normally basically never take it past (4) since it is plenty. It all makes sense.
The resistor was an AC delco that I bought from Advance Auto Parts but didn't come with the harness. So, you have to get the harness from the dealer I'd assume?
