Default buying a used blower

I want to get a T trim for the truck and bolt it up when I do the FMIC. There is a guy selling one on Ebay and I think I could get it for $1100 -$1200. My hesitation is that it may be damaged, worn bearings, or even a rebadged S trim (as they share they same physical dimensions, outer housing). The list on new ones is about $2700. They have an upgrade program that allows you to trade in your good working condition S trim and get a $750 credit . Im also thinking about waiting and hoping an established member will have one in good shape for sale.
What do you guys think?

I wouldnt buy a used one off of ebay. There is way to many things that could be wrong with it that you will never know untill you start it up for the first time. I will talk to my brother mechanic and see if he has any laying around ( he is a authorized vortech installer and racer).
