If you worried about the look of the newer cluster in your truck, heres a pic of how it would look i think you could something with closing the openings. And wouldnt you just need to get some wires from pcm to the cluster to make them work and the rest of the interior just control it with the older bcm so the pcm would just need to be tuned to work alone right? Cause i know the older models work that way

In same boat with my 99 really want a 6l80 or 90 in it but dnt want to go through changing pcm, harness etc.... When the 60 goes out in my 08 i will go 6l80 but thats a lot less involved....

Yea that be way easier. I think i might try that some day if ill do some kind of swap into an nbs truck cause i think it has to work somehow.

I have acess to a gen iv harness but its for a 5.3 dod with a 4l60e.... I have thought about seeing if the dash from an nnbs wouldnt swap into an nbs..... Would require a totalled donor truck and a garage lol, im sure it could be made to work.... I think it would be cool as hell to have a 99-02 with a 2007up interior, including the seats which would seem to be the biggest hurdle, but it seems an ext cab would work as on the nnbs the seat belts attach to the door latches, so long as you had a 4dr ext cab it could work.... Things that make us stay up at night

Sure makes us stay up late haha! I think the dash is almost the same side wise but the problem would be the a/c box under the dash and the seats have almost the same bolt holes so that should work i think (at least the front ones) and the wiring problem with 4l60 harness is they have a module for the trans appart so its pretty different from the 6l80 harness but from a 5.3 to a 6.2 is the same.

Yeah engine harnesses are same save the dod connector on 5.3 vs vvt on 6.0/6.2..... And different trans connector for 4l60 vs 6l80/90..... Finding a donor truck would be way to go....

Seat belts would be biggest hurdle 07up seats are no longer integrated into the seats they mount to the pillars....

If you have the ecm and tcm as well as wiring harness it would make it a fairly easy swap, hardest part is decidding what you want to do about guages
