Next time try adding ARP molybdenum grease before putting the bolts back on.

Thanks guys, made some good progress today. Cleaned all cylinder walls up real good, put in new tr224 cam and bolted everythin back up for that. Also got one head put on and torqued with NEW bolts and put the rockers and pushrods back in so that side is all done. Just have to put the other head on tomorrow and change out the rear main seal, then shes ready to go in Saturday.
I tried ordering ARP bolts from Summit yesterday online and got a call from them saying my card didn't go through. I went to CVS and purchased a gift card to put money on so I could order them online but it didn't work (which is bullshit) so I just got some new TTY from oreillys...maybe next time haha.

GM recommends no lube or threadlocker on the threads of the TTY bolts. They should be clean and dry. There is a recommended procedure for conditioning the block threads prior to installation of new bolts, as well.

TTY sequence is designed to bring the bolt *into* the plastic region. Installing twice based on the factory sequence is a hell of a stretch. No pun intended. If you use a TTY twice you would have to do to it based on a different install sequence and probably a very low power operation. Rock Auto has factory bolts on the cheap. No reason to reuse. If you use lubricant reduce torques 10%. But better to follow factory specs to the letter.
Nothing is better than TTY. Perfect amount of clamping effort everytime!
