Yeah, I forgot about the bedding in issue. Looks like the best plan is to start buying the correct parts , as the budget allows, and go for drilled/slotted rotors and some EBC pads. Are the EBC rotors a good choice? I only plow my on road, no commercial work.

Maybe the best plan would be to contact EBC and get them to recommend a complete setup. Anyway, its on the back shelf for now. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the offer. I am quite familiar with Ebay. Bad time of the year to go shopping, several bills to pay right now.

I've had good experiences with eBay drilled and slotted rotors actually. Power Stop makes a good performance rotor in my book. Give them a try when you are able to.

EBC are great if the price isn't too high for you. I will definitely be looking to get all four EBC brakes and the 05 front brake upgrade for my 01' Stepside.

I'd prefer just slotted rotors, seems all the drilled rotors up here in the north can get cracks in all the little holes after a winter or two. A few cars that come from the factory with drilled rotors that I've seen start to do it.

I am pretty sure that NASCAR race cars use rotors that are slotted or dimpled, but not drilled.
