My truck sounded awesome bone stock with a FM40 with dual tips out the back. I really miss how it used to sound actually lol.

I say flowmaster. Those sound good on stockish trucks with cats

yea after reading people saying the borla is louder/raspier i think I'll go with the good ole 40. i used to have one on my other trucks and I like how deep they sound.

What is the difference between the 40 and the super 44 series FM?

Super 44, or the 50 series. I had a 50 series on my truck with the side pipes. It was by far the deepest tone i've ever heard! Sounded awesome, IMO

Borla XR-1 is the way to go, not too loud, but has a real nice sound. Flowmaster is literally the worst choice. No performance benefits, just a sound that sounds like everybody else.

I agree, 50 series does sound very good. Friend of mine had it on his OBS 98 chevy with a 350, and it sounded very nice.

i just did this with longtubes and xr-1 3inch pipe and loved the sound
