wats up guys!! i just finished re-tuning my truck to all the new mods i put and it feels badass!! BUT, there is only one problem...see since i got the truck, there was always a problem with high misfires on cylinder 5 and 8..i did all the tests to see wat was misfiring and still no answer, i changed spark plugs, wires, coils and still misfires..i'm thinking it could be my injectors...and here is the BIG PROBLEM, when i'm in the expressway, the misfires get worse and worse that it get to the point that it doesnt allow my torque converter (stock) to lock..it had always had that torque converter locking problem but didnt know wat it was until i pointed it out to my tuner and he told me thats wat it was....does anyone know what is causing the problem and where i could fix it???

 

Injectors are a possibility....switch them to different cylinders and see if the misfires change cylinders too.

 

lablack, what was your verter doing? would it lock & unlock rapidly or anything weird like that? mine does the same thing every now and then, but there are no misfire codes. we did some logging when my truck was tuned, and nothing abnormal was going on. sorry to hijack.

 

nah it just stays unlocked until i pretty much slow down all the way down to 1st gear or just simply stop, turn off my truck then turn it back on...but it only stays unlocked when i drive in the expressway for a while.
