I've wondered what happened to that truck as well. Seemed pretty solid, figured it'd be around here somewhere...

i believe a construction company owner about an hour away from me, (Ma) had bought that truck over a year ago or more ( can't remember) and gave it to his son for overcoming an addiction, to get him into a good addiction. I'll ask some friends in that town maybe get the kid to give me some specs

Was looking around at the specs for some the parts on this truck. Mainly the cam cause there was only HR-672 engraved on it. (Isky catalog shows it to be a 218*)

A friend of mine bought the truck and had several issues with it.
Looking over the for sale add on Tech I noticed some things have changed.
It has a th400 now, along with a holley high ram and a 83mm bullseye turbo.

it was sold with a listing of having a Eagle crank so my buddy assumed it had a 408 in it. and the "build sheet" said it had ported LS3 heads but they are stock LS3 heads when I pulled it apart.

He put a TKM Black Sheep cam in it and brought it to me to do a Holley Terminator install.
after putting it on the dyno and made a few pulls it put down 775hp in 2nd gear (it has a TH400 now) on 15 psi and power went down every pull after that.
ended up a rocker bolt pulled threads out of the heads

So pulled the engine for him and come to find out it has a stock length stroke eagle crank. And JE 4.005" dish pistons and with the stock LS3 heads it was only 9.0 or 9.1 CR.

The block did have piano wire in the heads tho.

We did Wiesco pistons and a K1 4" crank with some WCCH LS3 heads along with Johnson short travels and comp shaft rockers. CR should be in the 12.5 range now instead of 9.1.

But anyway after some new injectors tomorrow we will be heading to the track to see how much it takes to max out that 83mm Bullseye.

sounds like a mean setup. What fuel are you running at that CR under boost?

it's got a full tank of VP C85 but he should have me a drum of VP C98 Wednesday. So going to do some tuning just on spring and get it to leave good then have a fresh supply of C98 to turn the boost up on. Also should have a Aeromotive 5.0 pump by next weekend. It still has the Magnafuel 750 on it and not sure it's going to be enough for the new turbo.
