i know this is not the appearance section, but i thought i would show off my work. the truck is 5 y/o and i can barely notice any paint fade after removing the door molding. i was reluctant to do it with such an old truck and dark color.

I couldn't force myself to buy a Chevy just because of the ugly side molding. LOL

 

Answer me this guys. I took off a small piece of my molding a while back. Just to see if there were a bunch of marks under them. And in fact there were. If I take all my moldings off and its all the same with the marks, how do I get rid of them? The marks arent the remaining adhesive. Its where the molding must have rubbed on the paint.

 

Good thing you took it off. That side molding is something I never liked abou the Silverado.

 

The first time I layed eyes on your truck I thought damn ... that's a nice looking truck but it needs tht side molding gone. I'm glad you did it. It looks soooooo much better.

99 .. I used WD-40 to get the left over glue and tape off. It's like it melted it right off.
