There's no reason they couldn't fix it. Sounds like they tried to save a $ to begin with. Make them send it to a shop of your choice and foot the bill.

I just called General Motors and spoke to a lady there. It was after hours in Detriot, so she is going to set up a conference call with me and the GM of General Motors and the GM of the stealership on Weds. at 10:00 am. I sure hope that I can perswade them into getting me a new truck. This is not my fault, and I don't want a truck thats 3 weeks old wtih a new paint job on it.

I would ask what they wanted to do: either fix the one you have now, I mean re-do basically the entire truck, take everything off and replace:moldings, glass, seals....everything and re-paint it.......or......offer to trade it for a new one. I bought my truck right around the time you bought yours, and I would be irate if that would've happened to me, good luck man.

Well, I have this feeling that they are going to try and fix it, but I don't want them to fix it. It will always be a repainted truck. I can see if I got into an accident or something, and it was my fault, but it was their mistake entirely. They may even try to buy it back, and if they do, then will have to give me everything that i gave them. Just like it was brand new off the lot. No reduction at all!! I have a meeting with sales manager today at 10:00am. I read my contract completely, and theres nothing in there stating that I have to except any repairs made to the truck, nor do they have the right to make any repairs. If I don't like what they have to say today, then I'll just tell them, that you for time, and we'll what general motors has to say about it on Weds. They don't know that I called them yet, so it will be a surprize to them. Can't wait to see the look on his face.

It well this morning. I talked to the manager. I didn't even have to raise my voice. We walked around the truck and I showed him the overspray on everything, showed him the moldings, the fenders, the top off the truck and the windshield. I asked him if he would except a truck that was only 3 weeks old, and haven't even got my plates for yet, and that it had to be repainted, and he said no, he wouldn't. I told him, all that I ask for, is a new truck, straight across the board, nothing less, and nothing more. Same color and everything, he told me that he is going look for a new one on Monday. I just hope he doesn't take his sweet *** time, cuz my plates are do on next Sat. I also hope that they are not going to string me along. So when we have our conference call on Weds., I'll tell them whats going on.
