Umm I wasnt driving it that hard actually.. It was still fairly new so i was taking it easy.. All i had at the time was magnaflow catback, nelson tune on my 99 pcm (not very good, 99-00 pcm's are terrible).. I still had 3.42 gears with an open carrier.. Needless to say, i wasnt pounding on it very hard.. not near as hard as I have since I got my gears and true trac installed..

just get a stall and dont worrie about it. i have blown a motor and am still rinning the stock 60 in my truck with a yank 3000. i got the 3000 because you can still tow to a certain extent. i use my truck as a truck all the time. like stated above i went to the lumber yard the other day and loded my truck up with wood and concrete. just make sure to put a cooler on the truck. if you have a stock cooler then upgrade it. when the temp of the fluid gets too hot that is what kills the trans.

another thing alot of people dont realize is another reason people put stalls in cammed vehicles. for instance to get my old motor to idle it was ideling at 900-1000 rpms. well you do that with a stock stall and the damn truck is allways wan go. that is another reason for a stall besides the gain in performance.

true, so in the end a cooler is the answer to transmission problems, and if it does blow, get a level 3/4/5 FLT!

I see most of the guys on this site really tend to like the FLT builds. So what does a lvl4 or 5 cost?Just curious since my tranny is already built.Kinda wanna see how my build price compares to there price.Prob a lvl5 build would be up to par on power handling of mine i would imagine.....not sure since i have'nt dealt with them.Just curious as stated before.
