Default anyone have pic's of trucks with street tires?

my truck has the 265-75-16 firestones on it and they are just about bald. i think i would like to drop my truck a little, peal off the z71 stickers and put some nice street tires on it, mabey rims too but only if i had to. not sure of my rim size, not sure how low i would want to go but it looks like 2" would be real easy. maybe some bfg radials or something like that.

anyone have pics of their truck with some wider than stock tires that look good, any sugestions, keep in mind i will need to use the same tire all the way around. what are my options?

well i don't agree at all with lowering a z-71 but if thats what you wanna do, than thats what you wanna do. i have the bfg radial t/a 275/65/16. check out my link and click on texas members than you'll find my truck (only truck there). i have the 2/4 drop but i have a picture with tires before the drop. i also have a picture of a 2000 z-71 w/ 6in suspension lift and 3in body lift with 36in tires lined up next to me. perhaps that will change your mind about lowering your truck??????????

phat--those tires would work for me, they are still tall enuff they would look ok with just a small drop.

fast--nice pic's of those ASM headers, i have some ordered but it sounds like it will be a few weeks.

Honestly, I am considering to do the same thing although most 4x4 guys would give me hell for it. I actually bought the 4x4 for good winter snow traction, not muddin', driving over boulders, or going over sand dunes (none of which we have here in the boring state of Missouri anyway).

I'm seriously considering to swap my 4x4 manual transfer case for a Sierra C3/Denali/Escalade AWD transfer case as I haven't needed 4x4 LOW and I doubt I ever will. I do use 4x4 HIGH, but I think AWD will work just as good, if not better than 4x4 HIGH. Not to mention AWD will make for some awesome launches on dry pavement.

Then I thinking of a mild lowering... just a little to reduce the gap. Then finishing it off with street tires and 20" wheels.

IMO, the Yukon XL on the Ground Force website (pic here: Yukon XL) to me has the perfect wheel & tire size, and ride height. Great for city driving and looks like plenty of ride height for off-road driving on Missouri's grassy fields and gravelly roads.

Sorry, I'm at work so I didn't realize the picture was so huge! That's the pic on the Ground Force main page, probably not smart to put a pic that large on a company home page!!!

Anyway, all they could tell me are the rims are 20". The tires are Toyo Proxes S/T so it could be one of the following:

325/50R20
265/50R20
305/50R20
295/45R20

I can't really see the tire size, but I think the first number is a "2" so it's either 265/50 or 295/45. I'm more likely to believe it's 265/50R20 because most 20" wheels are 8-9" wide, and the 295's require at least a 9.5" wide rim.
