Default Anyone had this problem

I took my truck in for the fourth time today for this problem. When I hit bumps, even small ones, I feel a lot of impact in the steering wheel. The weather is getting colder and I am now starting to feel it in the floorboard. The truck only has 29k miles on it. So far they have lubed the steering shaft with no result. They then replaced the steering shaft, which fixed the problem in warm weather, but on days 50 deg and below, its just as bad as before. Its definitely something in the front suspension. Tire wear is good, I keep everything greased and havent noticed anything out of the ordinary. Any ideas?

well my truck has these same problems, but I know it is because my shock are crap. I have a 150 thousand on mine now and just alligned the front end and put new tires on and that helped even with out the shocks it is better. So mabe you should check the shocks out, other than that I dnt know.

You need the new updated intermediate steering shaft. Very common all the way up to the latest 2003 trucks/SUVs. The revised part has been on national backorder.

good luck ever getting that since theres like 10,000 people ahead of you, just have the dealership lube it, they can still do that,

They replaced my steering shaft last month and I did have to wait like a month for a backorder. I would assume that its the new shaft.

probablly was a regular shaft, not a redesigned one, im not sure, did that fix it for a while or did it help at all?

It fixed it for temps above 50 deg. Once it gets cool out, it starts flopping around again
