just get a v6 and gut it, and drop the new engine in with parts from a 8cyl truck. It will be cheaper that way

Dang, RCSB trucks are pretty common in my area, the dealer I work at has 2 or three right now, but they are all 03s and 04s, so they are def. more than $10k

wouldn't i have to change just about everything? tranny and engine obviously, but what about the computer and all the wiring? i dont know much about that stuff at all.

how much would an engine, trans, computer, and all the wiring be? any ideas?

also, with a v6 4wd, are the 4wd components (transfer case, differential, etc) the same as on a v8 4wd?

i don't know if i'd save THAT much money

in that case, you probably shouldn't be doing the swap alone anyways.

You would need all new internals if you did go with the v6 (pcm, trans, engine, tcase, wiring, etc). The differentials should still be compatible
