Any GM techs around?

Hello all.
Nice forum here. Hope Im in the correct one for this question. Was wondering if anyone could shed some light on a project Im working on.
Trying to swap factory power windows into my 07 NBS Silverado ext cab WT package (w/WT convenience package power locks). I have all door components from an 08 LS regular cab that had power windows, power locks and basic power mirrors.
Im elbows deep in this project and have come across a few stumbling blocks. First, I was wondering if the power window switches on an LS with basic power mirros actually has a door module or is it just "hard wired" like Ive read a few places?
Second It looks like the dash harness isnt pinned for power windows on my WT. The BCM is a different part number too from the LS. If I pull the harness from the LS and run that through the dash am I going to need the LS BCM? A reprogram isnt a problem but I want everything ran and installed before I call in the reprogram favor.
Actually any insite into this project would be very helpful. Im just wanting to clear up some of these questions before I go through the effort to mine that huge harness and run it in my truck.
Thanks in advance.

You have to replace the complete door wiring harness' as you already know. The normal trucks with non dl3 option do not use a driver and passenger door module. Some trucks come with the correct dash harness already installed. If yours has the correct harness it will have connectors in the drivers kick by the ebrake and in the passenger kick. Part of the harness plugs in there and the other part plugs into the junction box on each side of the dash. The bcm is different and will require being programmed with a vin from a truck that has power windows mirrors and locks. This will in turn require programming the radio in your truck to the new vin so it will remain working. If you are using the oem XM radio it will then lock up and the only way around that is to replace the xm radio receiver with a new never programmed unit.

Yes, this pretty much sums it up! You've went the entirely wrong way with this project. You could have been done and complete by going with an aftermarket power window system by now. Of course it would have voided any warranty you have on your Body Contriols as GM would classify this as a Conversion and put a Warranty Block on any related repairs. But.....Electric Life makes a complete kit for a couple hundred bucks and you would ahve been less labor and way less BS.
