antitheft lock code?

Default antitheft lock code?

what up guys, i bought a nice screen radio but when i installed it in my truck it was lock.... i seen it working before but in mine it said lock.....is there any code i got to know to make it work or does the dealer only know how to fix this.? thanks

Factory radio? If so I remember hearing about the radios being vin locked. Probably have to have the dealer reprogram it.

that would be correct if it is 03 or newer. there is a big write up about it in the tech articles on full size chevy.

I'm still stuck on the Screen Radio part.
If its aftermarket you can find a manual for it on the internet and it should tell you the default security code.
If that doesn't work then you'll have to ask the previous owner.

If it's some kind of factory unit you will have to take it to the dealer to get it unlocked.

well i took the truck to the dealer to get the vin relearn for the nav unit...not succesful!!! did not work....got home real pissed. i started searching the internet and it says something about having to connect the anntena too ? i did not get the antenna ! ill have to look for it see if i find it.....does this sound right ? needing the antenna to make it work ? they didnt even mention nthis at the dealer

does everything else work except for the nav? if so then yes all you should need is the antenna.
