I have a choice of either gettin BFG sport truck T/A's or Goodyear Eagle GTII's for my next tires. Which one will hook up better on the street/track, and which one will retain its tread pretty good.
Thanx guys,
-Kurt
p.s. both tires are 285/60/16's
If ya have any other ideas for tires lemme know

man, u saw how long my sport trucks lasted, so i wouldnt even go for those. go for those goodyear eagle II nascar tires. 86/tire and they are 285/60s
personally i didnt have much luck with my sport truck's but i saw plenty of other people cutting 2.2s on them.

All BFGs wear out fast, most of them only have a 280 tread wear rating. BUT, most of them stick good in the corners and hook decent on the track if you know how to use em. I have run BFGs on almost all of my vehicles. Goodyears are also good tires but very $$ and don't seem to last a long time either. I have Michelin LT4 MXs right now. They have outstanding wear capabilities and have a 400 tread wear rating which is the highest you can get. BUT the down fall of these are that they are $$, are very squared off(shape I mean) and they are a truck tire which means you have limited sizes. I have 265/70R16s and they are a little tall for my tastes. My next tires will be General 275/55/R16s. I am sure they won't last too long either but for $100 a tire, what do you expect? plus they are short and will look good with the drop.
BTW my Michelins hook awesome at the strip, I MIGHT get a little scratch once in a while with em at 35psi. 2.25 60' with a 3.42 single track rear. No burnouts. You may look a Nittos or Toyos also.

i have Michelins on my truck now, and the 2 center treds are almost gone, and the outside are still there.WTF. i think im going to get GTII, i hear that goodyear tires are harder than most, hell i dont know, but i can get them for a little over 100 a piece, if you have a sams card, look there.

I admit my BFGs have been good to me. Don't forget, I am the second owner of these tires, daren had em before me. They had minimal amount of wear and tear on them when we swapped em and daren definitely gave them their share of labor on his truck. Ofcourse Kurt, you saw my tires NOW, and well, my traction is poo poo. If I can't rotate em one more time, ima definitely have to get some new ones.....

what about the GTIIs vs. the pirelli scorpion zero? i want a 285/50/18 tire and not many people carry the goodyears in that size. some people still insist they don't exist (dumbass retail stores). so what are you guys opinions on the pirellis? tread wear better or worse than the GY? what about hooking?
